IT Park Moldova registers 6 new operators in Q1 2026

Reed Intel Desk · 2026-04-01 · 4 min

IT Park Moldova, the technology special economic zone established in 2018, registered six new member companies in the first quarter of 2026, bringing total membership to 160 registered operators. The IT Park offers member companies a unified 7% tax on revenue — replacing income tax, VAT, social contributions, and other levies — making it Moldova's most tax-efficient vehicle for technology business operations. The six new Q1 registrants include two fintech companies, one AI development firm, two software outsourcing businesses, and one cybersecurity consultancy. The fintech registrations reflect Moldova's growing attractiveness for payment processing and digital banking companies seeking EU-adjacent regulatory positioning as part of the accession preparation process. ## Employment and revenue IT Park member companies collectively employed 14,800 people as of Q1 2026 and generated approximately MDL 3.2 billion (approximately $180 million) in annual revenue. The Park's administrators note that IT sector employment is disproportionately concentrated in Chișinău but that a government initiative to establish IT Park satellite zones in Bălți and Cahul is in early planning stages.
